plague.

carried around lowers to ward off the smell of the dead and dying.
8. People didn't know the disease came from infected rats, they though it was a punishment from
God for being wicked.
9. Within 2
years, 25 million people died of the plague.
Villages
filled with the dead were burned to contain and kill the disease.
